When making changes: * Test the icons and URLs to ensure they work * Be aware changes to the header bar are applied globally and may affect all users

  1. Navigate to the Brief Connect SharePoint site.

  2. Select Site Contents from the menu.

Once inside the Header Links list, you can manage the following fields for each link: * Tooltip: Update the name of the link as displayed on the header bar.

  • Icon Name: Specify the Fluent UI icon to represent the link. Hover over icons in the Fluent UI Icons Gallery to find the icon name.

  • Href: Update the URL that the link directs to.

  • Order: Adjust the position of the link on the header bar. (Lower numbers appear first, e.g., 0 is the first position.)

  • Link Type:

    • Set whether the link opens in a new tab or the same tab.

    • Internal: Open within the same tab.

    • External: Open in a new tab (as per best practice).

  • Mobile Only: Tick this box if the link should only appear when the system is accessed from a mobile device.

  • Admin Only: Tick this box if the link should only be visible to admin users.
