Restoring items from SharePoint site recycle bin

Overview

Items that are deleted from SharePoint can be recovered from the recycle bin and second stage recycle bin

Resting an item that was deleted less than 93 days ago

  1. Go to the ABC (Prod) site.
  2. Go to the site contents.
  3. Click on the recycle bin button.

  1. Select the items that you would like to restore and click the Restore button. The items will return to their previous location.

Restoring an item that was deleted more than 93 days ago

SharePoint Online retains backups of all content for 14 additional days beyond actual deletion. If content cannot be restored via the Recycle Bin or Files Restore, an administrator can contact Microsoft Support to request a restore any time inside the 14 day window.
